On the album which will be released by Danse Macabre, Amaya Sakinah, Archimed Shinigami, Kay Ozz, Serena and Violetta tell tales about death and all its wondrous faces.
On the first CD "Hinter der Maske der Schönheit..." you can experience the dark melancholic soundtrack of My Friend Skeleton, which invites to dream with a delicate backdrop of sound. Infernal drums meet siren-like chant, a French orchestra sacrifices itself into elegy, a Scottish marching band accompanys a couple over the river Styx, two lovers find their end in never ending love, a rabbit and a mother bid farewell to Alice, reflections which scare, enriched by a classical requiem for a symphonic-rock-orchestra with two dead soloists at spinet and organ and the question if Sigmund Freud will be proved correct.
On the second CD "...lauert der Tod" the band present themselves with their alter egos My Skeleton Friend in form of dark impulsive beats of various shades. Once again their creators don't resign the necessary depth and adequat richness of detail. In the beginning stands the more than half-hourly opus "Roboterblut", which heralds a dark future vision in six parts. Be it thoughts that echo inside an isolation cell, seperation sorrow of two angels, perspectives of death or the peculiar love of a psychopath: the lyrics are partly minimalistic, partly they tell stories in their own way or carry stories of My Friend Skeleton a little further. The conclusion makes a collaboration of My Friend Skeleton and My Skeleton Friend in which they let the album find an end in a schizophrenic way.

The limited Special edition consists in addition to the two regular cds of a bonus cd on which two bonus tracks can be found as well as remixes of some illustrious bands. Das Ich, Kiew, Faith and the Muse, Faderhead, [:SITD:] and Gothika gather to accompanny the debut album of My Friend Skeleton. In addition to that there is a DVD with the video to Funeral of a broken Doll included.
To top the whole special edition off you can also find a 60-page book which contains pictures and artworks of My Friend Skeleton.
The Skeleton Boxes are limited to 25 pieces and only available on www.my-friend-skeleton.com. Based on the special edition they are designed by one of the artists, individually shaped and contain small personal gifts. Every box got its own key-note and its own individuality - every box is a work of art on its own. That all makes it to a really rare collector's item.
